1. Who we are

Access Travel Solutions ("Access Travel Solutions," "we," "us," or "our") is an independent travel-news publication and flight-comparison guide operated by Access Travel Solutions LLC, a limited liability company organized in the State of Colorado, with offices at 1660 Lincoln Street, Suite 1850, Denver, CO 80264, United States. This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through our website at accesstravelsolutions.com (the "Site"). We are the controller responsible for your personal information.

2. Information we collect

We collect only what we need to run the Site and respond to you. That falls into three groups.

Information you provide directly

Newsletter sign-ups: the email address you submit to receive our newsletter.
Contact and message forms: your name, email address, the topic you select, and the content of your message.
Correspondence: anything you choose to send us by email or phone.

Information collected automatically

Log and device data: IP address, browser type, device and operating system, referring page, and the pages you view, recorded by our hosting provider and analytics for security and to understand usage.
Cookies and similar technologies: small files used to remember your preferences (such as your cookie choice) and, only with your consent, to measure aggregate traffic. See our Cookie Policy.

Information related to the flight search

When you use our flight search, the origin, destination, dates, and traveler count you enter are used to build the search query. We do not require your name, email, or payment to run a search. See section 7.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive categories of personal information (such as health, biometric, or precise geolocation data), and we do not ask you to provide them.

3. How we use information

To operate, maintain, and secure the Site;
To send our newsletter to subscribers and to manage subscriptions;
To respond to your messages, questions, corrections, and partnership enquiries;
To run and improve the flight search and our content;
To understand, in aggregate, how the Site is used so we can make it better;
To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security, or technical issues;
To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.

4. Legal bases (where applicable)

Where data-protection laws such as the EU/UK GDPR apply, we process personal information on these bases: your consent (for example, optional analytics cookies and newsletter sign-up); our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the Site; and compliance with legal obligations. You may withdraw consent at any time.

5. Cookies & analytics

We use a small number of essential cookies to run the Site (including one that remembers your cookie choice) and, only if you accept, privacy-respecting analytics to measure aggregate traffic. We do not sell your personal information, and we never have. We share limited information only with service providers that help us run the Site, and only as needed:

Hosting / content delivery: our infrastructure provider serves the Site and processes server logs for delivery and security.
Form delivery: when you submit a contact or newsletter form, a third-party form-processing service transmits the message to us. Your submitted details are handled per that provider's privacy terms.
Analytics: if you consent, an analytics provider helps us understand aggregate usage.
Flight metasearch partner: when you run a search, the search parameters are passed to a flight metasearch engine to return results (see section 7).
Legal and safety: where required by law, to respond to lawful requests, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users, the public, or us.

We require our providers to handle information consistently with this policy and applicable law.

7. The flight search

Our flight search is a metasearch tool. The origin, destination, dates, and traveler count you enter are formed into a query and a results page is opened with a third-party flight metasearch engine that compares airlines and online travel agencies. We are not an airline or travel agency, we do not sell tickets, and we do not collect your payment information. When you choose a result and proceed to book, you do so on the website of the relevant airline or agency, under their own privacy policy and terms, which we encourage you to review.

8. Affiliate links

Some links on the Site, including certain outbound links from the flight search, are affiliate links. If you click them and make a booking or purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. Affiliate partners may set their own cookies once you reach their site, governed by their privacy policies. See our Affiliate Disclosure for details.

9. Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described here: newsletter data until you unsubscribe; contact messages for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and our records; and automatically-collected log/analytics data for a limited period consistent with security and statistical needs. We then delete or anonymize it.

10. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal information:

Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
Correction — ask us to fix inaccurate or incomplete information;
Deletion — ask us to delete your personal information;
Opt-out — unsubscribe from our newsletter (every email has a one-click link) or decline optional cookies;
Portability and objection / restriction — where provided by law.

U.S. residents: we do not sell or "share" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. California, and other states with comparable laws: you may exercise the rights above by contacting us. EU/UK residents: you have the rights afforded by the GDPR, including the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. 11. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards — including encryption in transit (HTTPS) — to protect information against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Children

The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

13. International transfers

We are based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the U.S. and other countries. If you access the Site from outside the U.S., you understand your information may be transferred to and processed in countries whose data-protection laws may differ from your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice. Your continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
